The new year may be in full swing but there's no sign of the leopard print craze slowing down. And, I'm not complaining! The temperature's cooling and I'm feeling the need to grab for my cosy knit more and more.
I headed to John Lewis' personal styling service at Cribbs Causeway (you can read all about my trip in the February issue of The Bristol Magazine) and stumbled across two gorgeous pieces that I'm confident will stay in my wardrobe for years to come.
My all-time favourite thing to do at the moment is pair, almost anything, with white trainers. It gives such an effortlessly chic look to an outfit and not to mention it's super comfy!
My favourite thing about this outfit: the leopard skirt, is actually a dress. The Jungle Cat midi dress from Whistles is honestly such a staple. Style it up with suede heeled boots or play it down with white trainers and jumpers. There's no stopping you with this multi-wearing dress. The quality, fit and style of it is so flattering. I'd never really been drawn to wearing green but once I tried it, I really couldn't get enough of it.
The jumper is such a snug, winter essential. Although, I think it's now out of stock, the Mint Velvet Buttoned Cuff Jumper in cream is thick, warm and also a touch on the itchy side. It works with this dress as my arms and neck are covered but when paired with jeans, I need to ensure I wear a long sleeved, high neck top underneath. Otherwise, I find myself itching all day – and that's not something anyone enjoys!
The shoes are a stealthy find from the Tommy Hilfiger Swindon Outlet. I found them and instantly fell in love. I'd been longing for a pair of plain white flats that will last me well and don't break the bank. Although I can't find the exact pair, I've found an alternative that looks pretty similar. I find these shoes to be a really good quality. I spend most my days walk (or running for trains) and they still haven't show any signs of wear. They're an investment that really was worth making and I'm so glad that I did. Check out the Tommy Hilfiger trainers here.
